Celtic announce new long-term contract for surprise substitute who could make debut against Aberdeen
The 18-year-old was a surprise pick on the bench for the Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen as John Kennedy named his first team selection as interim manager following Neil Lennon’s resignation earlier this week.
The striker is yet to make his debut for the Scottish Premiership champions, though he’s someone who is valued highly by the club, as evidenced by the new deal, which will keep him at Parkhead until 2025.

Hide AdThe club announced the extension in a tweet just 30 minutes after revealing Montgomery’s presence in the squad.
The tweet read: “We are delighted to announce@CelticFCAcademy player @adamontgomery11 has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2025. Congrats and good luck today, Adam!”
He joins academy team-mates Ewan Otoo and Owen Moffat in signing long-term deals in 2021.
