Basketball: Rose on target for Archers
Anderson joined UWIC to improve her chances of making the Great Britain team for next year’s London Olympics as there is no Scottish club playing at that level. Hope that that problem might be resolved in the not-too-distant future has emerged with the news that Great Britain Basketball is exploring the creation of a British Women’s League independent of the current Home Nations leagues.
Taking a cue from the success of the Netball Superleague, the aim would be to improve the national teams and raise the profile of women’s basketball in the UK.
