Ten-day party to mark historic festival
The festival programme kicks off with a quiz night on Thursday, July 21, three days before the first of the main events begins with the Kirkin' Parade, later followed by the Crusaders Chase and subsequent dance at Eskmills Bowling Club.
A youth golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at the town's Old Links Golf Course with the sashing ceremony taking place at 7pm at the Mall on the banks of the River Esk.

Hide AdThe much-loved fancy dress parade is being held on Friday, July 29, starting at 7pm, with judging at Loretto Primary School.
The spectacular ride-out will be held on Saturday, July 30, with festival chiefs leaving Pinkie House on horseback from 9am.
