Police warning to roof-runners running
Police have warned of the dangers of craze of free-running, or parkour, which is sweeping a town in the Highlands.
Officers are becoming concerned at the increase in the number of youths facing injury by running over flat-roofed houses and buildings in the Fishertown area of Nairn.
“This issue has been raised within Nairn Academy and patrols will focus on the area with a view to deter and detect those culprits,” said Inspector Murdo MacLeod.
Parkour, which began in France, involves vaulting, running, climbing and jumping across building and other obstacles in urban areas.
