Hide AdIT was a sad day yesterday for fans of the Capital’s naval namesake.
HMS Edinburgh left Portsmouth on her final deployment to conduct operations across the Atlantic.
The mission, the last to be undertaken by a type-42 destroyer, will see the ship supporting counter-narcotics efforts in the West African region and patrolling UK territories and dependencies.
Commanding officer Nick Borbone paid tribute to HMS Edinburgh’s years of service, saying: “I am extremely proud of the way my ship’s company has responded to the many challenges we have faced during our preparations for this deployment.”
Fittingly, the ship will bow out with engagements in the US and Caribbean – preparation for a post-retirement cruise perhaps?

Or, as the restaurant puts it, “classic ingredients found in a full English breakfast” . . . which can only mean no tattie scone!

Gamers are now being warned that they risk long-term posture problems.
If only they could press reset to sort that.
