Flower power shines supreme in Polmont Horticultural Society's 171st show
Held in Polmont Sports Centre, the event was awash with bright colours, aromatic scents and some remarkably large vegetables.
Proud planters took great delight in presenting their flowers and produce to a bustling crowd of visitors and of course the judging panel.

Hide AdWhile a series of prizes were handed out to participants, the main focus of the day was celebrating all of the hard work which had gone into making sure the show was yet another outstanding spectacle.

Various members of the community pitched in and dug deep to support the event last Saturday.
Janet Anderson, show manager and society treasurer, said: “It was a good show considering the summer we’ve had as warm weather is as bad as the wet weather for plants.
“I’d like to thank the exhibitors because if it wasn’t for them there would be no show, as well as the president, Sandy Simpson, the committee and the Larbert Scouts who helped us to set up the hall.”
