Two hearses carried the coffins into the cemetery accompanied by a lone piper.
Friends and family hugged and shed tears as flower tributes spelling “sister” were placed at the graveside where the mother and daughter were laid to rest.
An online fundraiser arranged by the family of the victims raised more than than £26,000 to go towards costs of the funeral.
Steven Robertson, 40, reportedly the ex-partner of Ms Robertson Coupland, also died on the day of the attacks.
He was killed in a crash on the C50 – a minor road between the B7036 and the A76 on the outskirts of Kilmarnock – at around 8.30pm.
In a statement following the tragic incident, a spokesman for Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “The Prime Minister’s thoughts are with all those involved and he thanks the police and health care staff for their response.”
Deputy First Minister John Swinney also paid his respects to the family affected and called the events “dreadful” and “impossible to understand.”
