Fines dished out as Scots swamp nation's beauty spots
Car parks near many of Scotland’s most popular beaches, lochs and hills were at capacity early on Saturday and Sunday, police reported.
Police and enforcement officers were in attendance at areas including Ben Ledi, Ben A’an and Rowardennan, where they closed roads and dished out numerous penalty notices for indiscriminate parking.

Hide AdRowardennan at East Loch Lomond was among the worst affected areas, with car parking provisions breached before 9am on Sunday.
Officers said they were forced to take action and issue fines as motorists began parking in areas that were off limits.
Roads were closed, with police stating that indiscriminate parking endangered the safety of other road users, and could potentially hamper access for emergency service vehicles.
Police issued an advisory warning people to have a back up destination in place should parking in the area be unavailable.A message from the Editor:
