As the weather gets (very slowly) warmer, now is traditionally the time to spring clean your home.
But what additions can you make that will totally change the look and feel of each room in your home, without breaking the bank?
Change accessories

Hide AdThe simplest way to change your home interior is to change up the accessories in each room.
New cushions, curtains, blinds, vases and even lamps can give a whole new look to a room, without paying out for a total redecoration.
Add colour

Whether this is by decorating a room or simply by adding new accessories, changing the colours in your home will immediately change the look and feel.
Popular colours for spring as coastal shades such as tones of blue, sage green and cream.
The experts at valspar paints suggest: "shades of silvery sage green are both versatile and reliable. Use with grounded colours such as sea blue, and layer with sophisticated greys to show off the simplicity of the scheme."
For something a bit different, why not try Pantone's colour of the year, Ultra Violet?
Saffron Hare, Creative Director of fabric and wallpaper company, James Hare, says of this colour: "Although possibly unexpected this colour purple has a lighter fresher hue about it and is a perfect successor to the fresh and zingy Greenery of 2017."

Scent your home

Spring is the time of new growth, so adding flowers to your home is a relatively inexpensive way to bring some colour and life but if you want a longer lasting new scent, then invest a some good quality candles.

A mix of metallic accessories, velvet cushions, a faux sheepskin throw and a high pile rug will male for a stylish and cosy living room - and these can be easily swapped in for lighter textures in the summer, such as linen and cotton.
Have a clear out

It might seem obvious but taking some time to look through and clear out cupboards of items you no longer use is the best way of making a difference to your home.
Not only will it feel good to have had a clear out, you can then look at new storage solutions for the things you are keeping.

Decorate an overlooked space

Try papering behind the shelves with colourful wrapping paper or wallpaper samples to add a pop of colour and pattern.
Update your bedlinen

It might sound daft but making small changes like buying new, colourful bedlinen, will instantly update your bedroom.
There's a huge range of styles as part of the high street's spring/summer range, but bright floral and tropical prints are the boldest choices out there.
