World War Two airfield control tower turned into £1.15m luxury home in the country
The Control Tower, a three-storey property at Clathymore near Perth, has stunning views across the countryside with two Munros – Ben Vorlich and Stuc a' Chroin– in clear sight.
A roof terrace, complete with sun room, ensures that the panorama can be fully appreciated with the main living space placed at the top of the property to maximise the views.

Hide AdJohn Stephen, managing director of housebuilders AJ Stephen, said: “When we got the tower it was derelict, some of the windows were there but there was no glass. It was just a shell.
“The project to build it has evolved over the years. There has been a lot of effort to keep the original appearance of the building.
“And when you stand in the Control Tower, the views are absolutely stunning.”
A lift is due to be added to the property for ease of access with the buyer to select the final interior finishes.
The property sits on the old Findo Gask Airfield commissioned in 1941, with the original control tower based on a design that was also used at Heathrow.
During the war, the control tower would guide in Tiger Moth biplanes used by the RAF for basic training.
In 1942, the airfield went operation and was home to a fleet of Lysanders that were best known for their role in dropping Special Operations Executive agents in Nazi-occupied France.
The site was later used by the Polish Army.
The Control Tower is being marketed by Clyde Property.
