Wood Group lands $150m turbines deal
WOOD Group's gas turbines business has won a $150 million (£96m) contract from Peru LNG.
The contract will see Wood's Houston-based arm provide maintenance services over the next 18 years at a power generation and LNG compression plant at Pampa Melchorita, south of the Peruvian capital Lima.
Wood Group said it had negotiated a "flexible and risk-sharing contract" with Peru LNG, designed to maximise the operating time of the Pampa Melchorita site. The contract covers five large turbines.
Shares in Aberdeen-based Wood Group, a FTSE-250 company, rose 5.3p to 347p.
